Warrenton

When you take US 29 south you will see a lot of scenes similar to my next photo of the day. This was taken in Warrenton, Virginia.

It's good to see cows near the place I live. It sort of makes me comfortable and confident that the milk we drink everyday is fresh and new... Even if I don't know if these cows actually do produce milk!

Music and Lyrics by Bob Marley
"Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright.
Singing' "Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright!"

Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Each by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Saying', ("This is my message to you")

Singing' "Don't worry 'bout a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright."
Singing' "Don't worry (don't worry) 'bout a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright!"

Rise up this mornin',
Smile to the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Each by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', "This is my message to you"

Singin' "Don't worry about a thing, worry about a thing, oh!
Every little thing gonna be alright. Don't worry!"
Singin' "Don't worry about a thing" I won't worry!
"'Cause every little thing gonna be alright."

Singin' "Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright" I won't worry!
Singin' "Don't worry about a thing,
Cause every little thing gonna be alright."
Singin' "Don't worry about a thing, oh no!
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright!"

The DC Airstrip

“The reason birds can fly and we can't is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.”

Day 23 -- Layover

Our feathered friends are back in the streets and parks of Metro DC. They make this their rendezvous point before they all head down south to a more "Friendly" temperature. Flocks or Ravens, Canadian Geese, Mallards, and other birds in groups will be a regular fare in our DC commute until we welcome back Mr. Winter.

More on winter 2014

Thank God for a 50-degree weather today. Though it's still not the ideal weather as it was raining the whole day, a below-freezing temperature is much welcome.

Posting another photo I took during those cold days. Day after New Year 2014, I thought this would be the coldest day of the year registering a windy 17 deg (fahrenheit). But the Polar Vortex the week after broke decades-old record lows. on January 7, DC registered a low temperature of 5 degrees, with a wind chill that felt like -10.
